Special Considerations for Exercise and Pilates Program Development
Learning Objectives:
It would be ideal if every client that walked through the door to start a Pilates exercise program was 100% healthy, but that isn't always the case. Learn to identify special populations that may need modifications or adjustments to keep them exercising safely. Gain knowledge to make good decisions and select safe and appropriate exercises, as well as plan progressions at realistic pace. Be confident in knowing when to get medical clearance for participation and when to refer students who have needs beyond your scope of practice to a more qualified health professional.
